Remembering Stevie

Well, i’ve strayed far from my roots really. Quite a long time ago, when I was 7, I picked up a dusty little guitar in my father’s closet and just jammed to it. I listened to a lot of stuff, from Opeth, Slayer, but what really got me going was Stevie Ray Vaughan. The versatile bluesman had a warm sound, a significant voice, and a short lifetime that inspired so much.

He died August 27, 1990 in a plane crash at age 35. He died about a month and a half after I was born. Recently i’ve found my treasured greatest hits album from him, so, I thought i’d share one of my early joys in music.

Polarkreis 18 - German Music Reloaded

Hey guys,

yesterday, while I was watching TV, I saw this Band called “Polarkreis 18″ representing Saxony (a state in Germany) for the “Bundes Vision Song Contest”. It is a contest where they are looking for a singer / band representing Germany for the EuroVision Song Contest.

Anyway, these 6 guys are from Dresden, a beautiful city in the east of germany, not far from where I live. I’m not sure what genre I would put it into, but I’m liking it more and more. This Song here is called “The Colour of Snow”.

Hey guys, as Im going to Asia in a week’s time I just wanted to share this nice photo with you. Personally I think Asian girls are HOT!!! What do you think about her… isn’t she beautiful?
The most pretty Asian girls I met in my life were in Taiwan and Japan… did I miss any other place. If so let me know

Oh btw, the sadest thing about her is, she remembered me in Taipei, but I didn’t know I met her… I know, a shame. The photo is taken by David Barker, a very good friend of mine.

Ensiferum’s Fourth Album

Well, my favorite band is starting to record their fourth album. Known throughout Scandinavia and the metal world as one of the most legendary and talented bands in today’s music industry. Although their fame is definitely not so crazy as Hannah Montana, and in fact, they’re pretty underground, they never fail to amuse the metal mags. All of their previous albums, in fact, has never gotten anything worse than 8.5 out of 10 stars, all their work is revered, and of course, for good reason.

Here is the 10 minute epic from their previous latest album, complete with folk melodies and beautiful chanting choirs, this will roxxars your boxxars!

Crazy People

Well with the new World of Warcraft expansion out, we see the nerdrage rise again! Upon only 12 hours of the game’s release, we already see people like Athene, Nymh, and others get level 80 (the max level that is unlocked by the expansion) already! I left my World of Warcraft days long behind me, but this community is definitely masterful. With people getting rigs and organizing groups just to be the first to glimpse and take in the environment that is Northrend (the expansion’s setting).

Not too long ago, a Swedish boy collapsed after playing 35 hours straight on World of Warcraft, talk about hardcore, the boy had to be taken to a hospital to recover.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

This is a game i’ve been really getting into. I’m attempting to gather some friends who play or are interested in playing the game to group with me so we can do all the work and play together. The whole interface, system, graphics, of this game, is just pure exotic euphoria. I recommend you check it out, even if it’s not your thing, or not, but I personally rate this a 10 out of 10.

I just found this commercial ad. Maybe some of you know it already. If you like clubbing and cocaine you should watch out for this bathroom The automatic “CleanSeats” vom CWS not The Song in this Commercial is not “Satisfaction” from Beni Bassini. On YouTube people say that the music was composed exclusively for the TV ad by German band TerraNova, signed with Ministry of Sound. CWS is a company owned by HTS International GmbH.
